Former 559 Fights amateur fighters line the 559 Fights 115 card at Eagle Mountain Casino. Familiar names like Abraham Del Toro, Martine Sandoval and Sal Bruno, just to name a few of the former amateur champions.

However, in the featured amateur bout, flyweights Sajin Zacarias (4-1) and Lorenzo Quintana (2-1) are matching up for a second time in their careers.

Zacarias, a Fresno, Calif. native, fights out of RDC Boxing and has fellow teammate Erique Arroyo fighting on the card as well.

Quintana, a Visalia, Calif. native, fights out of Crisp MMA who is home to plenty of other 559 Fights fighters such as welterweight Tyler Saelee, Matthew Martinez and women’s flyweight Brianna Stephens.

The first time the two fought was back at 559 Fights 106 on July 12, 2024, nearly a full year ago.

How did they get back here?

Both fighters have made a name for themselves since then, as Zacarias held the 559 Fights Flyweight title, and Quintana has been lightning in a bottle, finishing his last two fights via knockout.

Every fight for both fighters has ended in a finish, except for their first fight against one another.

After his win over Quintana in their amateur debuts, Zacarias fought for a different MMA promotion on Sept. 7 and Nov. 23.

He won the first fight via first-round knockout and the second via second-round submission.

The 20-year-old returned to 559 Fights for 559 Fights 111 on Jan. 24, 2025, for the flyweight championship.

He knocked out Johnny Reyes in the second round to remain undefeated and gain the 559 Fights Flyweight belt.

Quintana, on the other hand, waited five months before fighting after his loss to Zacarias.

He knocked out Jesus Cardenas at 559 Fights 111 just 26 seconds into the first round before knocking out Roman Hernandez at 559 Fights 112 just seven seconds into the second round.

What to expect from the fight

These fighters have grown exponentially since their debuts, so expect to see some fireworks early on.

After their debuts, every single one of their fights has ended in a finish.

Through eight combined fights, the pair have only seen the third round three times. The one time that wasn’t their fight was Zacarias’s championship loss to Gonzalez.

Quintana stands at 5-foot-10, so he has a much bigger reach advantage over Zacarias, who only stands at 5-foot-3.

Expect Zacarias to close the distance and mix in some takedowns against the Muay Thai specialist Quintana.

Quintana has solid ground defense, but Zacarias can still do some damage with his hands, as two of his four wins came via knockout.

What a win means for both of these fighters

A win for either fighter would likely mean a shot at the 559 Fights and CAMO State flyweight belts.

Those are currently held by Octavio Gonzalez (3-0), who knocked out Zacarias after a battle at 559 Fights 113.

Gonzalez is set to defend his title at 559 Fights 116 on July 12. The winner of Zacarias-Quintana 2 would likely get the next crack at those belts.

But before any of that happens, the two rising stars will battle it out in front of the sold-out crowd at 559 Fights 115 at Eagle Mountain Casino in Porterville, Calif., this Saturday, June 14.
