SELMA, Calif. - 559 Fights and Eagle Mountain Casino will take mixed martial arts to the next level in Central California.
Both have a rich and storied history in the sport with 559 Fights producing over 100 events over the last 13 years and Eagle Mountain Casino being one of the homes for some of the Central Valley’s brightest MMA stars, including UFC veteran Joe Soto.
“This has been a long time coming for us at 559 Fights,” said 559 Fights CEO Jeremy Luchau. “We’ve been flirting with the idea of doing professional MMA for a while now and have been looking for the right partner to make it work and do it at the caliber that it deserves. Eagle Mountain Casino and their team have blown me away with their vision for what is to come.”
Eagle Mountain Casino will host 559 Fights 115 on June 14 with an additional show to be announced later this year. Each of those events will be hosted by a UFC star managed by Iridium Sports Agency.
“EMC is the Place to be for MMA. We could not think of a better partner than 559 Fights for our live event productions starting June 14th. They have over 100 events right here in our backyard and are 100% local to the Central Valley,” said Scott Eldredge General Manager at Eagle Mountain Casino. “Their management team has a long, storied history in MMA and partnered with Iridium Sports Agency they have a roster of current UFC fighters that are entertaining worldwide audiences. We hope to bring that excitement and that quality to our MMA fans. We will be bringing professional MMA to the place to be and some surprises along the way.”
Events at Eagle Mountain Casino will feature both amateur and professional bouts, the first time in 559 Fights history that professional bouts and amateur cards will be on the same night and under one promotion.
“We’ve helped be a local partner for several different promotions over the years,” Luchau said. “Our team has been able to do a lot of on-the-job type of training and now it’s time for us to show the Central Valley a new look.”
559 Fights will feature a Road-To-Eagle Mountain Casino contest for fighters competing in its events throughout the first half of 2025. Amateur competitors competing in these events could earn a professional contract.
Fighters who win or defend their title in that time will be put into the Championship pool, where they will get a chance to earn not only a multi-fight professional contract with 559 Fights but also will have their CSAC medicals sponsored and paid for, as well as winning a special commemorative Eagle Mountain Casino belt.
Amateur fighters that pick-up wins in non-title fights in that same time frame, get their name put in the selection pool where someone will earn a multi-fight professional contract from 559 Fights.
The Champions and Selection voting pools will count for 50 percent of the winner’s score. The other half will be based on consistency, ticket sales, performance, self-promotion, and outside-the-cage conduct - such as making weight, medicals, and paperwork.
“This is a fun and competitive way to show the Valley who some of the top overall competitors are,” Luchau said. “Our mission at 559 Fights is to create professional athletes, and that only happens with great performances and structured work outside of the cage.”
The 2025 season kicks off January 24 at the Visalia Convention Center with 559 Fights 111, featuring a flyweight title fight between Fresno’s Johnny Reyes and Fresno’s Sajin Zacarias. Plus, in the co-main event, 559 Fights will crown its first-ever super lightweight champion when Visalia’s Tyler Saelee clashes with Madera’s Chris Chapa.
